overview:

We are seeking a feasibility study Lead, to support the development of an AI-driven platform focused on improving foreign credential recognition (FCR) pathways. This is an iterative, applied research process where findings will be continuously integrated into platform development. The role requires both research expertise and the ability to translate insights into practical system improvements.

scope of work:

The feasibility Study Lead will:

  • Lead and coordinate data collection on FCR pathways, barriers, and system gaps

  • Conduct and/or supervise stakeholder consultations (newcomers, regulatory bodies, employers, service providers)

  • Work closely with the platform development team to:

    • Translate research into actionable platform features

    • Continuously refine pathways and user journeys

  • Integrate community feedback into ongoing updates

  • Guide iterative testing and validation of platform outputs

  • Supervise Research Assistants

  • Contribute to final feasibility report and recommendations

approach:

This project is not a one-time study. It involves:

  • Ongoing cycles of research → integration → testing → refinement

  • Continuous feedback loops with community stakeholders

  • Ensuring the platform evolves based on real user needs and lived experiences

deliverables:

  • Research framework and methodology

  • Conducting and analysis of interviews with regulatory bodies, participants, licensing organizations, etc.

  • Manage round tables and advisory committee meetings

  • Iterative updates to platform pathways and content

  • Summary of stakeholder engagement findings

  • Final feasibility study report with recommendations

eligibility:

Individuals or organizations with demonstrated experience in:

  • Applied or community-based projects

  • Working with diverse or newcomer populations

  • Translating research into practical tools or systems

Priority will be given to applicants from racialized and gender-diverse communities, as well as individuals with lived experience navigating foreign credential recognition processes or settlement services.
