Raianny Queiroz

... an architect with more than ten years of experience across residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, from apartment buildings and shopping centres to towers and restaurants. I have managed over 50 projects from concept through construction, working in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM, with a background in technical drawing and project coordination.

My practice is focused on sensory design, crafting interactive spaces through material exploration, lighting strategies, and atmospheric composition. I integrate sustainable design principles and considered material selection at every scale, and I value a collaborative process that brings clients, consultants, and builders together to keep priorities, schedules, and deliverables aligned.

Teaching, making, and creative work all feed my architectural thinking. I have taught architectural design, technical drawing, Revit, AutoCAD, and 3D modelling at university level, and I created a study group on environments and sustainability. I also redesign, upcycle, and restore furniture by hand, which keeps me close to materials, craft, and construction detail. Working at the scale of a single piece shows me how structure, finish, and use come together, and I carry that back into how I detail and specify spaces.

As a visual artist, I work across watercolour, textile installation, and printmaking, with a practice inspired by nature and shaped by my background in architecture. My solo installation Sensory Movements was shown at Eastern Edge's rOGUE Gallery in 2025. I am active in St. John's arts community through Eastern Edge, Iceberg Gallery, The Rooms, and the Women's Work Festival.
