Entrepreneurship Networking Event
Over 300 participants met business service providers from across the province, in partnership with International Education NL under the Empowerment Bridge Program.
On July 9, 2025, Expertise Hub Cooperative, in partnership with International Education Newfoundland and Labrador (IENL), organized this Entrepreneurship Networking Event as part of the Empowerment Bridge Program, funded by the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism.
The event brought together key business service providers, including Metro Business Opportunities, Advantage St. John’s, RBC, Centre for Social Enterprise, PARO Centre for Women’s Enterprise, Centre for Entrepreneurship, BDC, CSCNL, Genesis, Local Immigration Partnerships, Collective Interchange, NLCU, CBDC, YMCA, and UNF Avalon, to share resources and supports available in Newfoundland and Labrador’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Designed to help immigrant communities interested in starting or scaling their businesses, the event welcomed over 300 participants, exceeding 220 registrations. Attendees connected directly with service providers, asked questions, and built valuable networks—an important step toward ensuring the inclusion of diverse communities in the entrepreneurship landscape.
This successful event marks the beginning of a series of networking opportunities under the Empowerment Bridge Program. We are grateful for the active participation and representation from organizations committed to supporting newcomers on their entrepreneurial journeys.
